Initiate a lawsuit before it’s barred
Most people make the mistake of not filing a claim within the timeframe stipulated by law. This time period varies from state to state, but in California, the patient has to file a claim within three years from the date of injury, or a year after the plaintiff discovers through the use of reasonable diligence.
